The Cucamelon plant produces small tropical fruits the size of grapes, they look like small watermelons, but they actually have a taste similar to that of cucumber.
Cucamelon is appreciated for its truly unique taste, unlike anything you may have tried so far, but also because it is a healthy food, without any contraindications and with interesting nutritional properties. Like the common cucumber, it is hydrating, refreshing, has very few calories and is a good diuretic. For fresh consumption, the fruits must be harvested very small, until they are elongated in shape and the skin remains tender. They can then be preserved in vinegar.
