The Carolina Reaper is a chili pepper obtained by crossing 2 species of extremely hot peppers: Naga Morich Pakistano and Habanero Rosso. In 2013 this chili pepper entered the Guinness Book of Records as the hottest pepper in the world, the fruit is red in color and has an end that resembles the tail of a scorpion. The concentration of capsaicin in it is so high, that if the pulp comes into contact with the skin, it can cause burns.
