A perennial plant native to the Canary Islands, this palm tree has a dark green foglaime. Dracaena is a shrubby plant that can reach up to 20 meters in height. The oldest specimens are believed to be thousands of years old; the oldest living specimen is found in Icod de los Vinos, in the north-east of Tenerife.
